ProfNoctis is a streamer and professor who combines academic lecture and videogame streaming. His PhD dissertation was on religious themes in Final Fantasy XV, and he teaches courses examining the intersection of story, religion, and gaming at the University of Alabama. He streams games and lectures, in addition to recording a podcast. I built him a logo that captured the unique intersection of his interests, combining a controller with the open book. There's a subtle shape of a chat bubble in there as well, a nod to the interactivity of streaming, and the purples in the color palette were inspired by the Super Nintendo as well Twitch's branding.
In addition, I built specialized video graphics for tutorial videos and designed the layout for a custom-branded playmat for sale during Final Fantasy's Magic: the Gathering set release as part of his content push.
