Studio Fatcat is the LLC of freelance storyboard artist that works in the animation industry. They needed something professional-yet-fun that wouldn't look out of place in a creative corporate setting. We went through several iterations, playing with the proportions to get the right amount of squash, as if it's a cartoon character mid-animation. Obviously by OHNO Type was a perfect fit, clean and tidy with just the right amount of wonkiness - it has some serious comic-handlettering DNA in there.
The vertical lockup was inspired by the seals on Ukiyo-e prints, a really fun reference point from the client.
